The first of many self-publishing tools I have found to be helpful

I started my self-publishing journey just over one year ago when I began writing my first book.If you have read my bio, you know that writing has been a dream of my for many years, but this is the first time I had finished a book! After the celebrations, then what? How the heck did I get those thousands of words into the hands of my future readers. There are so many different websites and books out there,  it was very overwhelming, and not all of it applied in Canada. After many hours of Internet research, I came upon Sarah Ettritch's 'Self-Publishing for Canadians'. 

Sarah's book really demystified the whole process for me. Some of the best information was that ISBN numbers in Canada are free! In some countries they can cost as much as $50 each, and you need one for each type of book; epub, mobi, ibooks, paperback. She also shared what tax forms you need when selling books in the United States. This is an immediate savings of 30% of all your commissions! There is much more in the book, these are just two that really helped me.

I recommend this book to all Canadians who are looking at self-publishing!
