This week marks a first for me; the first time I have launched the second book in a series. Although we knew a lot more this time, it was still a hectic couple of weeks getting everything thing prepared. Yes, there are things we will do differently when we release "Mercian Tales" at the end of April, but overall the release went reasonably smoothly.
I want to take a moment to thank my beta-readers whose feedback was instrumental in making 'Sword of the Crown' a great read! I must admit that Beverly's story was quite a roller coaster of a ride to write. There are moments of pure joy, such as when she receives her first pony, or the day she is knighted. You will laugh, cry, and rage against what she experiences, but it all moulds her into the knight that bends a knee to the heir to the crown in the first book. I hope that you enjoy reading her story as much as I did writing it.
To celebrate the digital release, I will be hosting my first book signing this Sunday, from 12 - 4 pm at Coles Bookstore in Masonville Place. The will have books there for sale, or you can bring in your own. If you are a ebook person, I will have postcards available for signing, and bookmarks too. This is the first of many book signings to come, as we are working towards one a month. If you live in Southwestern Ontario and think your town would be an excellent spot for a signing, please send an email with your suggestions! I look forward to seeing some of my readers this Sunday!
